Living Water Services donates 12 keyboards to Good Hope schools

GOOD HOPE, Ala. – In a heartwarming gesture of community support, Living Water Services made a substantial contribution to the music program at Good Hope Primary and Elementary Schools: 12 keyboards.

The initiative was spearheaded by Amanda McKenney, the music teacher for both schools, who reached out to Living Water Services to inquire about potential assistance for the music program. The company’s president, Grady Parsons, was more than happy to assist and brought the 12 keyboards to Good Hope Primary School Friday morning.

“It’s hard to describe how excited I am. I couldn’t believe they were coming this soon,” said McKenney. “Mr. Parsons and his company genuinely want to help.”

The donation of these keyboards will not only introduce students to the joy of playing a musical instrument, but also provide them with a unique opportunity for growth and self-expression. McKenney said she believes that music has the power to positively impact students’ lives in ways they might not even anticipate.

McKenney brings her own experience to her role as the school’s music teacher. With over 17 years of teaching experience, she understands the profound influence music can have on young minds and their development. Speaking about the keyboard donation, McKenney shared her passion for nurturing students’ creativity and potential.

“I am very musical. I came from a musical background, so when this opportunity came open, it was like the best of both worlds. I get to teach kids that I love so much, and then I get to teach what I love to do personally,” she said. “I’m just excited that I get to share my passions with my kids and hopefully create some passions of their own. Music can open doors they never thought possible. These kids may not know where their musical journey will lead them, but they might discover something they’re truly passionate about. Music can change them, open doors they never thought possible and provide an outlet for their emotions.”
