Funeral Service for Franklin Luther Brock, age 80, of Hanceville, will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 20, 2023, at Bethsadia Baptist Church with Bro. Trueman Davis officiating; interment in Bethsadia Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. prior to the service.
Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Brock passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2023, at Cullman Regional. He was born April 11, 1943, in Cullman, Alabama, to Hayse Brock and Sylvia Brock.
He was a firefighter for 35 years at Lockhead Martin after serving four years in the Air Force. Also, he served as the Fire Marshall in Westworth Village, Texas, for 10 years. He was a 32nd degree Mason and member of Cullman Blue Lodge and Scottish Rite.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Howard Brock and Kenny Brock; and sisters, Gaynell Latham and Janice Laney.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Janet Aker Brock; son, David (Jamie) Brock; daughter, Twana (Kevin) Jones; grandchildren, Taylor Brock, Haley (Alex) Ramirez, Dalton Jones, and Garrett Jones; sister, Jane Ann Aultz; brothers, Larry Brock and Roger Howard; and sisters, Patsy Powell and Shirley Hulsey.
