HANCEVILLE, Ala. – Hanceville Council members excitedly discussed the possibility of an RV park located behind the CVS Pharmacy at 303 Main St NE in Hanceville at its July 27 meeting.

“We’d still have to figure out the particulars,” said Mayor Kenneth Nail, theorizing that the RV park would likely host about 10 sites for roughly $35 a night. Nail also put forward the idea of incorporating walking and biking trails.

The Hanceville Planning Commission recommended not rezoning a property known as “Wesson Property” located on College Road to B2 zoning; council concurred.

A few fans from the 1033 program will be surplussed.

The council received the City’s 2021 financial audit and said it is open to the public to view at city hall. Nail said residents can expect the 2022 financial audit in the first week of December.
