Arthur and Walter Oden are at the bedside of their father, Captain E.J. Oden.

Reverend Anson West has about recovered from an illness.

D.L. Aldredge of Holly Pond was in Cullman on Tuesday.

Miss Minnie Braasch and Edgar Stoll of Vinemont have entered the Polytechnic College, during this week.

T.J. Nunnelley, Junior of Baileyton was in town yesterday.

Doctor P.M. Musgrove will preach at East Baptist Church next Sunday at 11 o’clock.

T.C. King is the new superintendent of education.

John Robinson’s big show will exhibit in Cullman on October 26.

German Day was celebrated here on Monday. In the forenoon there was a street parade and in the afternoon some very fine speeches made at Mayer- Dinckelberg Park. A ball, at Kullman Hall, closed the amusements of the day.

John Reinhardt was thrown from a hand car on the L and N Monday and was injured. He is recovering nicely.

Marriage licenses have been issued to John Morgan and Miss Preuve Campbell; J.T. Abercrombie and Miss Margaret E. Walker; Joseph L. Lovvorn and Miss Hattie E. Goodwin; Robert S. Howard and Miss Effie Quattlebaum; Frank J. Orr and Miss Myrtle S. Jordan; James T. Burgess and Miss Nannie Ross and William H. Myers and Miss Mary James.

W.W. Wells of Route Six, Cullman sold a crate of strawberries to E. Wooten and Weeks and Howard on October 6. The two firms bought them jointly and paid Mr. Wells $4.80.

The Cullman City Library is now located in the new County Education Building. The library is sponsored by the Coterie, federated club.

Married last week were Miss Edythe Glasscock and J.D. Gorham.

Robert M. Clark, father of Mrs. P.G. Hartung died in Brookhaven, Mississippi, following a stroke of paralysis on Saturday night.
