SOUTH VINEMONT, Ala. – The Vinemont Baseball Diamond Club will host its annual alumni game this Saturday, July 15, at 7 p.m. at Mike Cupp Field on the campus of Vinemont High School.
Vinemont Baseball Diamond Club President Kevin Hale said he is excited for the event and is looking forward to being around former players and seeing former coaches.
“We’ve got some guys who graduated last year who will play in the game and we’ve got some guys from as far back from the year 2000 who will play in the game,” he said. “It’s neat to get them all on the same field and share their experiences with one another.”
Before the game, a dinner will be hosted for former players. Current junior and senior players will help with the dinner and getting the field ready for the game.
“We try to get the alumni back and involved in the program to generate excitement for the season,” Hale explained.
Admission to the game is $5 for everyone older than 12.
