CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman County Extension Office will host its Invasive Plant Management Workshop Wednesday, July 12, from 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m. at Camp Meadowbrook.
According to the Extension, the workshop will provide homeowners and land managers of all types an opportunity to better understand what it takes to properly identify, prevent and control some of the more common and problematic invasive plant species. The indoor presentations and outdoor demonstrations will cover identification, mechanical and chemical control, non-invasive and native alternatives.
Participants must pre-register for $25. Registration includes a seat at the seminars and field demonstrations, lunch and printed presentation materials and related publications. Participants are also encouraged to bring samples of any non-desirable weeds or plants to be identified.
