CRANE HILL, Ala. – Cullman County Coroner Jeremy Kilpatrick has confirmed the body of a 5-year-old male was recovered from Smith Lake after the boy slipped under the surface hours earlier.
“Due to it being a minor, the name will not be released,” Kilpatrick said.
The incident was reported shortly after 5 p.m. Saturday, June 17. Kilpatrick said the incident occurred at Arrowhead RV Resort at Smith Lake, located on County Road 941 in Crane Hill.
