Funeral service for Athalea Abbott Howlett, 89, of Bremen, will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Persimmon Grove Cemetery, Bro. Jeremy Calvert officiating. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.

Mrs. Howlett passed away Sunday, June 11, 2023 at Grandview Hospital. She was born April 1, 1934 to Bertis Cecil and Ruby Brown Abbott. She was a member of Persimmon Grove Church of Christ. She was a supervisor at Cullman Lingerie for 25 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Ema Lea Abbott Howlett, Geraline Abbott Woody; nephews, Micheal Woody, Jon Abbott.
Survivors include her husband, Norman Howlett; brother, James ‘Jim’ Abbott and sister-in-law, Shirlene McSwain Abbott; nephews, Larry (Sheila) Howlett, Jeff (Lisa) Abbott, Jerry (Penny) Woody; special friends, Carl and Diann Payne; family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Abbott, Larry Howlett, Kevin Howlett, Greg Johnson, Jerry Woody, Carl Payne.
