CULLMAN, Ala. – Fire claimed a residence on Oakhill Drive Northwest in the city of Cullman Friday afternoon, June 9.

According to Cullman Fire Rescue Chief Brian Bradberry, the structure fire was “well-involved” when firefighters arrived. The owner told the fire department that no one was in the house at the time.

Bradberry told The Tribune that firefighters attempted to enter the structure upon arrival, but the fire was already too intense for them to get in. Two firefighters were treated at the scene for effects of the heat, but no injuries were reported.

Bradberry described the structure as a complete loss.
