Jody Gasser Buxton, 76, of Cullman, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at her residence. She was born January 6, 1947 in Cullman, Alabama. Jody worked in dentistry for more than 40 years, mostly for Dr. R. Clyne Adams. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. She had a beautiful smile, unforgettable big, blue eyes and a contagious laugh. She was absolutely full of love.
She is survived by her daughter, Jamie Smith and her husband, Michael; grandsons, Garrett Smith and Nolan Smith; nieces and nephews, Lori Norman, Andrea Peacock, Darrell Morgan, Paul Handley and Allen Handley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul Bernard Gasser and Anna Marie Tekulve Gasser; her husband, Larry E. “Butch” Buxton; sisters, Pauline Elizabeth “Polly” Morgan and Mary Elizabeth “Helen” Handley; brothers, William Alvin “Bill” Gasser, Charles Lambert “C.L.” Gasser and Thomas James “Buddy” Gasser and a niece, Patty Angles.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church; with interment in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 19 from 5pm to 7:30 p.m. at Moss Service Funeral Home, where the Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue after the Rosary.
