Funeral service for Earnie Houlier Haynes, age 88, of Cullman, will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 18, 2023, at Cullman First Baptist Church; interment in Fairview Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. prior to the service.
Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
He served 24 years in the Naval Service as Master Chief Petty Officer and then Chief of the Boat on the USS Casimir Pulaski.
Mr. Haynes passed away on Monday, May 15, 2023, at Hanceville Nursing Home. He was born May 16, 1934, to Robert Haynes and Amanda Elzadia Haynes.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, and sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Leeth Haynes; daughters, Melody (Ralph) Basch and Caryl (Winfield) Moon; grandchildren, Nathan (Adriann) Basch, Jared (Elysha) Basch, Trent (Katie) Basch, Trey Moon, and Connor (Summer) Moon; and great-grandchildren, Preslie Basch, Ezra Basch, Maisyn Basch, and Hendersyn Basch; and a host of nieces and nephews.
