GOOD HOPE, Ala. – Good Hope’s City Council hosted its first May meeting at Good Hope City Hall Monday night and the main topic was Good Hope High School’s Peyton Caudle. Caudle was recognized by the council at Monday night’s meeting after being awarded the City of Good Hope Endowed Scholarship at Wallace State’s Future Foundation Scholarship Celebration in April. The Council approved the scholarship in 2021 and Caudle is the second Good Hope student to receive it after Allie Sartin was awarded the inaugural scholarship last year.
Scholarship Guidelines:
- Recipient will receive a scholarship award to fund up to full tuition, fees, books and supplies.
- Open to all graduating seniors from Good Hope High School
- Recipient must have a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher
- Recipient must demonstrate financial need (as determined by the FAFSA and additional funds awarded from other sources) and an essay explaining their need for scholarship assistance and why they have chosen their career field.
Caudle plans to begin studying graphic design at Wallace State before finishing up at UAB and she couldn’t be more excited to get started.
“I’m planning to go to Wallace State for as many classes as I can because I have the City of Good Hope’s scholarship and I also got the Cullman Savings Bank Foundation scholarship. I want to go for graphic design at Wallace and do as much of it as I can at Wallace before moving to UAB and finishing up there,” Caudle said. “I’m really excited. I’m just so excited to be able to learn about something that really interests me. I’ve always been very big into art and I’m really excited.”
The Good Hope City Council will host its next regularly scheduled meeting at Good Hope City Hall Monday, May 22 at 6:30 p.m.
