Douglas Wayne Mayfield, 66, of Cullman, Alabama, passed away on April 14, 2023. Mr. Mayfield was born in Michigan, to John Hugh and Ruth Naomi Bice Mayfield on June 22, 1956.
Douglas served his country honorably in the United States Army and worked construction as a civilian until his retirement. Mr. Mayfield enjoyed hunting and he was an avid Alabama fan. He loved his family, and he will be missed.
Douglas is preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, James Mayfield and Rayburn Nail.
Those surviving Mr. Mayfield are his daughters, Amanda Morgan (Michael), Pearlie Aaron (Ray); brothers, Dual Mayfield (Mary), Kenneth Mayfield (Martha); sister, Sharron Atkins; grandchildren, Kason Morgan, Anna Morgan, Autumn Morgan; longtime companion, Charlotte Knight; and a host of family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Duck River Baptist Church on Monday, April 17, 2023. Services begin at 5 p.m.
