Funeral service for Catherine Elizabeth Bates Moore, age 86, of Cullman, will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Center Grove Baptist Church with Tim Collier and Jason Vinson officiating; interment in Etha Cemtery. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. prior to the service.
Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Moore passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at Huntsville Hospital. She was born July 6, 1936, to Jessie Elvin Holcomb and Kimmie Josephine Holcomb.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Willard Bates and Paul Moore; grandson, Brett Widner; sisters, Faye Holcomb and Mazine Morgan; and brother, Therman Holcomb.
Survivors include her children, Janet (Kenneth) Widner, Donna (Bobby) Golden, Randy (Denise) Bates, Myra (James) Campbell, Lisa (Chris) Bryant, Kathy (Randy) Praytor, Michael (Cindy) Bates, Patricia (Dennis) Echols, and Matthew Moore; 19 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Mary Ellen Floyd.
