CULLMAN – A lot of changes will be seen when the 2016 local high school volleyball season gets started on Aug. 25.

Defending county champion Good Hope has a new leader for the first time in 39 years. Samantha Bryson has taken over the Lady Raiders after Rosemary Brown retired following a superb 2015 to put her over 1,000 career wins and 20 Cullman County championships.

Amy Chambers has moved to the sidelines for Hanceville, while the new commander at Vinemont is Shannon Bridges.

Everyone else is intact with head coaches Cantrice Voce at Cold Springs, Michelle Greenlee at Cullman, Tracy Means at Fairview, Sydney Rowell at Holly Pond, Shannon Mescher at St. Bernard and Regina Jones at West Point.

The 2016 Cullman County Tournament will take place on Oct. 10-11 at Hanceville's Lane Horton Gymnasium.
