A graveside service for Harold Hargrove Stinnett of Blountsville will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, 2023 at Garden City Cemetery. Reverend Bo Garrison will be officiating the service.

Mr. Stinnett was born on February 23, 1954 in Marshall County, Tennessee to Herman McKinley Stinnett and Maudie Louise (Gully) Stinnett. He passed away at the age of 68 at his residence in Blountsville on January 29, 2023.

After completing school, Harold wanted to open up his own business. With only $20 in his pocket and his silent partner, Jesus Christ, he cut the ribbon and opened ‘HS Trailer Repair’ in the early 2000’s where he was a mobile semi-trailer repairman. Working with trucks and machinery was a passion of his. He would continue to oversee the business for the next 18 years. A lot of his work wouldn’t have been possible without the help of his 3500 Chevrolet pick-up truck.

Harold was very active in his family and community. His grandchildren and great grandchildren were everything to him. He enjoyed dancing, singing, and cooking (especially his well-known fried hotdogs). Watching TV (mostly westerns) was also entertainment for him, as well as, his hobby with chickens. Harold was also an active member at Garden City Congregational Church for many years. He was definitely the person that made the room light up wherever he was. He will be missed and his memory will continue through those he loved.

Survivors include his loving wife of 25 years, Katherine Stinnett; children, LouAnn Stinnett, Stacey (Jason) Burgett, Jodi (Allan) Cone, and Denise (Jonathan) Hunter; grandchildren, Paige, Damon, Saul, Alexis, Jacob, Alyxandrea, Hope, Allen, Mykel, Styles, Rayne, J.J., and Haven; great-grandchildren, Zayne, Oliver, Wyatt, Mar-Mar, Nadalyn, Alaina, Adalyn, and Makayla; brother, Junior Stinnett; and sisters, Molly, Jan, Krist, Frankie and Mary.

Mr. Stinnett was preceded in death by his parents.
