CULLMAN, Ala. – Matt Gentry was sworn into his third term as Cullman County sheriff Saturday, Jan. 21, at Cotton Creek Warehouse in downtown Cullman. With his wife, Susie, and sons, William and Walker, next to him, Gentry was administered the oath of office by his father, Roger Gentry, in front of a large audience.

“I am very proud, honored and blessed to be swearing Matt in for his third term as sheriff of Cullman County,” Roger Gentry said. “I’m also so proud to see all of you here, our family, our friends and our neighbors who make up the citizens of Cullman County. It’s just wonderful that you all came out to support Matt and his excellent team of men and women of the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office.”

Rodeo Announcer Adam Gibbs served as Master of Ceremonies and Cornerstone Church of the Nazarene Senior Pastor Joe McNulty said the prayer. Kennedy Poag led the Pledge of Allegiance and East Side Baptist Church Senior Pastor Matt Smith was the guest speaker.

A reception followed the ceremony.
