Ellen Walser Uzzell, 98, of Cullman passed away on Nov. 29, 2022, at Woodland Village Healthcare Center. She was born Oct. 28, 1924. Ellen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and Memom to all children. She was a domestic engineer who loved to garden and cook. She was the director of Sunday School and director of Vacation Bible School at Seventh Street Baptist Church. She was a volunteer in the Cullman City School system and enjoyed visiting the elderly of the church.
She is survived by daughters, Marie (John) Apel and Vicki (Mark) Bussman; son, Bob (Becky) Uzzell; grandchildren, Brooke (Paul) Bell, Chad (Alice) Apel, Nicholas (Jess) Apel, Bradley (Haleigh) Uzzell, Jennifer Powell, Tara (Barrett) Richard, John (Emily) Bussman and Juli Bussman; great grandchildren, Havana Richard, Marella Richard, Gabriel Bussman, Luke Bussman; Cheyenne Powell, Caroline Powell, Addison Bell, Avery Bell and Peyton Uzzell.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Walser and Mabel Simmerson Walser and her husband, Edwin Clark Uzzell.
The family will receive friends on Friday, Dec. 2, 2022, from 1-2 p.m. at Moss Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. in Moss Service Funeral Home chapel; Rev. John Bussman officiating. Burial will follow in Cullman City Cemetery.
