Good Hope City Council presents donations to local organizations

GOOD HOPE, Ala. – The Good Hope City Council held its final November meeting at Good Hope City Hall Monday night and there was a small crowd of representatives from several Good Hope and Cullman County organizations there for a special presentation. The Council presented donations to each of them before starting the meeting using money from the city’s alcohol budget.

Good Hope Primary School – $4,000

Good Hope Elementary School – $4,000

Good Hope Middle School – $4,000

Good Hope High School – $14,000

Good Hope Fire & Rescue – $17,500

Air Med Evac – $9,500

Good Samaritan Health Clinic – $1,500

Margaret Jean Jones Center – $1,000

Wellstone Behavior – $3,000

Cullman Caring for Kids – $2,500

Cullman Soil & Water – $1,500

North Alabama Agriplex – $2,500

Cullman EMA – $1,500

The Council was also happy to report a successful Community Thanksgiving Meal last week. Over 2,000 plates were served at this year’s event. The Good Hope Christmas Parade coming up Dec. 10 is the next community event on deck. The parade will begin at 2 p.m. and Christmas in the Park at Municipal Park will follow from 3-5 p.m.

The Good Hope City Council will hold its next regularly scheduled meeting Monday, Dec. 12 at 6:30 p.m. at Good Hope City Hall.
