A single-vehicle crash at approximately 10:28 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, has fatally injured a Vinemont man. Alvin D. Gillon, 67, was critically injured when the 2019 Dodge Caravan that he was driving left the roadway and struck a tree.
Gillon was transported to Huntsville Hospital for treatment. On Friday, Nov. 18, Gillon succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased while at the hospital. The crash occurred on Eva Road near Alabama 67, approximately five miles east of Somerville, in Morgan County. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
