CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman County Bosom Buddies Foundation’s (CCBBF’s) primary fundraiser, the Little Pink Dress benefit, is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 4, from 5:30-9 p.m. at Loft 212

The CCBBF was founded in 2013, its mission to raise money to assist Cullman-area residents while they are in a cancer treatment. The foundation provides need-based assistance for day-to-day living expenses such as utility bills, treatment transportation costs, food cards and other approved needs.

Patients meet with CCBBF partner, Nurse Navigator Jessica Nicholson, to determine the amount of assistance needed. The foundation pays the bills directly; no cash is given. This assistance is for approved patients regardless of the type of cancer they may have or the location of their treatment center.

“We have, to date, helped 52 patients this year, paying 351 bills for these patients,” said CCBBF Vice President Judy Grissom.

The third annual Little Pink Dress benefit will feature a silent auction, with items to be auctioned off at 8 p.m. Music will be performed by the Wallace State Jazz Band. Food will be prepared by Chat & Chew. Samuel Tucker will serve as the night’s emcee and will introduce CCBBF President Lori McGrath, who will speak at 6 p.m. about the group’s mission.

Celebrity waiters will be working for tip money to go toward the CCBBF patient assistance fund.
