CULLMAN, Ala. –  The North Alabama Agriplex Board and Foundation will host the seventh annual Harvest to Home Local Foods Dinner and Silent Auction Sept. 29, 2022, at 6 p.m., at the Wallace State Community College Conference Center. Doors open at 5:30 allowing guests to peruse the silent auction.

The event supports the educational programs of the Agriplex. Catering by Chef Aaron Nichols and Wallace State Culinary Pride will feature fresh, locally sourced ingredients.  Preserved Peach Airline Chicken from Cullman County will be the delicious entree. Vegetables and fruits will be sourced directly from local farmers across north Alabama.

The theme, “It’s Good to Be Back Home,” celebrates gathering as the Agriplex community for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic.

“While many activities halted during the pandemic and ensuing months, the Agriplex stayed incredibly busy,” remarked Rachel Dawsey, executive director. “We’re thrilled to gather our supporters and friends and update them about our existing programs along with exciting new activities.”

The night will celebrate the bounty of north Alabama’s harvest with entertainment from Cotton Pickin’ Kids. Stories of the North Alabama Agriplex programming and outreach will be featured through the evening as Paige Clabo serves as emcee.

Tickets are on sale now at $40 per ticket or $400 per corporate table of eight.  Tickets may be purchased at the North Alabama Agriplex, 1714 Talley Ho St., Cullman, or at www.agriplex.org.

Alabama Farm Credit is the event sponsor with Cullman Internal Medicine sponsoring the entertainment and Wallace State College providing the venue. The Cullman Farm-City Committee will serve at the event.  Alabama Web Press is the print sponsor, and Elise Thomason Print Studio is the artwork sponsor.

The Silent Auction will feature locally made items from cakes to woodworking as well as garden-, farm-, outdoors- and athletic-themed baskets. All proceeds from the dinner and auction support the North Alabama Agriplex and its programs throughout north Alabama. Ticket sales are limited to 200.
