CULLMAN – Agents with the Cullman Narcotics Enforcement Team (CNET), deputies with the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) and officers with the Cullman City Narcotics Unit arrested six individuals for unlawful manufacturing of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia as well as other charges on Tuesday after serving multiple warrants in the Logan and Valley Grove communities.
Numerous warrants were executed on County Road 397 in Logan, where officers made entry into the residences and located the subject who had a warrant. A short time later, a search warrant was executed on County Road 843 Valley Grove, where additional suspects where located. Inside both residences, officers found methamphetamine, cash, and drug paraphernalia.
The CCSO seized 14 grams of methamphetamine, pills, $13,596 in cash, a .25 caliber Italian pistol and other drug paraphernalia.
James Daniel Slaughter, 50, of Cullman was arrested for unlawful manufacturing of a controlled substance. He is in the Cullman County Detention Center on a $1 million bond.
Arrested for unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia were Shalina Leigh Guthery, 23, of Hayden and Tyler Jacob Guthery, 20, of Cullman, both of whom have made bond. Jennifer Renae Allen, 41, of Cullman, is in the Cullman County Detention Center on a $5,000 bond.
Brian Erwin Guthery, 39, of Cullman was arrested for unlawful possession of a controlled substance and is being held in the Cullman County Detention Center on a $5,000 bond. Brian Erwin Guthery also had a warrant for third-degree domestic violence and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
Jammy Lee Guthery, 42, of Cullman was arrested for unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of a controlled substance. Jammy Lee Guthery has made bond.
“I believe any time you can arrest a large number of drug dealers and also a drug manufacturer like in this case we are sending a strong message that drug enforcement is a top priority. Also, when you arrest drug manufacturers and sellers you are saving lives by keeping drugs off the street,” said Cullman County Sheriff Matt Gentry. “I would also like to thank the CNET Agents, the deputies and the Cullman City Narcotics Unit for the excellent and safe job they did on this operation.’’
