CULLMAN – Cullman Regional Medical Center’s Auxiliary recently awarded West Point High School graduate, Kimberly Brooke James, the Auxiliary Scholarship in the amount of $500.  James will attend Wallace State Community College this fall in pursuit of her physical therapy assistant degree.

The CRMC Auxiliary or “Pink Ladies,” as they are sometimes deemed, is a fundraising extension of CRMC Volunteer Services.  Funds raised through book fairs and uniform sales are used to purchase newspapers for patients and guests and balloons for pediatric patients.

The CRMC Auxiliary Scholarship was created to assist members of our community in attaining education for medical careers.  A $500 scholarship is given annually to a high school senior who has been accepted into a medical degree program (pre-med, nursing, allied health fields, etc.).  Applicants are evaluated based on their scholarship application, reference letter and personal assessment essay.
