HOLLY POND, Ala. – Holly Pond High School announced the hiring of new Assistant Principal Adam Edmondson Thursday, Jan. 6. Edmondson is a Holly Pond graduate and has been a long-standing community member of Holly Pond.
“I am humbled and beyond excited to introduce myself as the new assistant principal of Holly Pond High School. I love this community and school. I want nothing more than to see both succeed,” shared Edmondson in the announcement.
Edmondson spoke about his work history, saying, “I am arriving at Holly Pond as a seasoned educator and new administrator. I began my teaching career in 2008 as a welding instructor at Brewer High School. Then, I moved to Bob Jones High School as an Agriscience teacher. I was able to move closer to home in 2010 with the opportunity to be the Agriscience teacher at Susan Moore High School. I enjoyed working there until I received the opportunity to be an administrator this fall at Etowah Middle School.”
While Edmondson’s experience in education has served him well, his personal life has helped propel him forward, saying, “I am an educator, but I am also a husband and father to five incredible children. We own a farm here in Holly Pond where we run layer houses, raise goats, pigs and ride horses. I also serve as the pastor of White Oak Baptist Church, and we love our church family there.”
“I know that every child at Holly Pond has the ability to succeed. I believe communication and building relationships between the school and home will build trust and confidence to make this possible. I will work diligently to help each student achieve the best future possible because their future is ours too. I cannot wait to get started. Let’s go Broncos!”, he concluded.
