As our state moves forward, Gov. Ivey and Dr. Scott Harris encourage any Alabamian who has not gotten their shot to roll up their sleeves, and visit ADPH’s COVID-19 Vaccination Portal: https://alcovidvaccine.gov/. If you have questions, consult with your health care provider. This webpage is a compilation of resources provided in collaboration with local, state and federal partners.

Public Health Information
COVID-19, caused by exposure to the novel coronavirus, is a serious respiratory illness that can be spread from person to person. On March 13, 2020, on recommendation from the State Health Officer, Gov. Ivey declared a state public health emergency existed in the state of Alabama and therefore issued twenty-seven supplemental state of emergency proclamations before the Safer Apart order expired on May 31, 2021.
Governor Ivey encourages business owners to print the free mask graphics below and display them in their stores.
Governor Ivey urges all Alabamians to stay vigilant and to take precautions to avoid exposure.
Symptoms of COVID-19 are:
- Cough
- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
- Fever
- Chills
- Muscle pain
- Sore throat
- New loss of taste or smell

Those who suspect they have COVID-19, those waiting on test results and those with COVID-19 should visit the COVID-19 Resources for Patients.
The ADPH has COVID-19 vaccine information available online. You can get registered for your vaccine at the portal or call the state hotline: 1-855-566-5333 (Answered daily from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.).

Any individual, including but not limited to, children, older adults, individuals with disabilities, healthcare professionals, first responders and administrators working on the frontlines who are experiencing stress or anxiety related to COVID-19, may call the Information Line at 1-888-442-1793. The Information Line will connect individuals with appropriate staff and programs in their local communities to provide vital resources and services.
Business Resources
Alabama small businesses impacted by COVID-19 can seek a low-interest disaster loan from the U.S. Small Business Administration. Business owners can apply for a SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loan at https://www.sba.gov/funding-programs/disaster-assistance.
Small business owners can also visit Atlas Alabama, a one-stop resource, for federal, state and local assistance.
The Alabama Department on Commerce is offering an online guide to COVID-19 resources for businesses and workers.

Child Assistance
Alabama Family Central is a comprehensive, easy-to-use website offers parents and families, guardians, teachers and caregivers a one-stop connection to programs and services in Alabama. Information on childcare, education, family services and health services can all be found https://alabamafamilycentral.org/.
Break for a Plate ensures all Alabama children can continue to receive nutritious meals while schools across the state are temporarily closed. Break for a Plate offers two free meals each day to kids and teens up to 18 years of age. For more information, visit https://www.breakforaplate.com/.
The Alabama State Department of Education has created two email addresses to assist parents and employees with questions.

The Alabama Department of Early Childhood Education Born Ready initiative has launched a website, https://bornready.org/covid19resources/, to assist parents and caregivers with resources and brain-boosting activities to help their children while at home.
The Alabama Department of Archives has created a website calledAlabama History@Home (https://www.alabamahistoryhome.org/) The site provides links to free, online content hosted by partners throughout Alabama. Parents will be especially interested in the many activities for children, but learners of all ages will benefit.
