VINEMONT, Ala. – The Vinemont Elementary Student Council Thanksgiving Food Drive is well underway until Nov. 17. The student council will be collecting food items for families in need this Thanksgiving season.
“We are asking that students participate in this drive and bring some of the items listed for your grade level. We believe that we can all build a better community if we reach out and help one another. —Thank you for your help and generosity,” said Vinemont Elementary in the announcement.
Items will be open for collection Nov. 1-17.
Items for collection per grade level are listed as:
Kindergarten – Canned green beans, corn, carrots or cranberry sauce
1st grade – Instant mashed potatoes or canned sweet potatoes
2nd grade – Canned greens, dried beans or rice
3rd grade – Jell-O mix, Jell-O pudding mix or cookie mix
4th grade – Boxed dressing mix or macaroni and cheese
5th grade – Cake mix or canned icing
