Obituary: Pastor William Eric “Hoss” Twilley

Funeral services for Pastor William Eric “Hoss” Twilley of Bremen, Alabama will be 11:00 a.m. Sunday, November 7 at Pleasant Hill Freewill Baptist Church. Reverend Darryl Banks will officiate. Burial will follow at Cold Springs Cemetery in Bremen. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. at the church Saturday, November 6.

Pastor Twilley was born on December 26, 1969 in Jefferson County. He died at the age of 51 on November 3, 2021 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He enjoyed anything to do with horses, dirt track racing, anything broken whether it be cars or people and helping anyone in need. Aside from being the current pastor at Pleasant Hill Freewill Baptist Church, he was also a truck driver for My Way Transportation. Above all, he loved Jesus.

Survivors include his parents: William Lacy and Peggy (Alexander) Twilley; wife: Tara Lawanda Twilley; daughters: Amanda Faith (James Michael) Hayes and Heather Nichole Twilley; grandchildren: James Miles Hayes and William Maverick Hayes; brother: Adam Lacy Twilley; father-in-law: James Morgan Mays and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pastor Twilley was preceded in death by his son: Travis Daniel Twilley; grandparents: Frank and Mary Twilley, Johnnie and William Alexander and Bill and Evidene Dowdy and mother-in-law: Wanda Mays.
