Thomas (Tommy) Lambert, age 65, of Cullman, Alabama, took his last earthly breath on the evening of Monday, October 18, 2021 in his home and woke up in the arms of Jesus.  Tommy was born on February 6, 1956 in Birmingham, Alabama to A.C. and Erma Railey Lambert.

Mr. Lambert’s relationship with Jesus was the most important part of his life. Tommy served the local church faithfully throughout his life, and most recently he was a member of Desperation Church. Tommy loved his wife Leigh Ann for 40 years—they were best friends. He was the kindest, most encouraging and forgiving person she has ever known. Together they had two daughters, Julie and Jill, who he loved more than anything, and he made sure they always knew it. Priscilla and Max, Tommy’s grandchildren, were the absolute lights of his life. To know him was to love him, and he will be missed by so many beyond measure.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 22, 2021 at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Crest Cemetery in Irondale.  Dr. Evan Akins and Rev. Sam Hollis will officiate.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. prior to the service.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Gary Lambert and James Lambert and sisters: Sara Beth Long and Linda Williams.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years: Leigh Ann Lambert; daughters: Julie (Evan) Akins and Jill (Jordan) Meggs; sister: Charlotte (George) Allcorn; grandchildren: Priscilla Akins and Max Meggs; nieces, nephews, family and friends.
