MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The 2021 Alabama National Fair Youth Beef Cattle Show and the 2021 Alabama National Fair Goat Show took place in Montgomery’s Teague Arena on Saturday, October 9. This year’s youth livestock events were sponsored by the Alabama Farmers Federation and Alfa Insurance. The show yielded several winners from Cullman County.
In Beginner Showmanship (ages 4-8), Easton Elrod (pictured above) of Cullman County took home first place in the Youth Goat Show. Elrod also won Overall Grand Champion in the Commercial Doe division at the Youth Goat Show and first place in Beginner Premier Exhibitor.
In the Youth Beef Show, Cullman County’s Etta Hudson exhibited the Charolais Champion in the Alabama National Fair Youth Beef Cattle Market Show, which also brought home the Reserve Grand Champion Market Animal title.
Austin Alexander of Cullman County also exhibited the Charolais Champion of the Alabama National Fair Youth Beef Cattle Heifer Show. Cole Eubanks, also from Cullman County, exhibited the Charolais Reserve Champion. Eubanks also showed the Bred and Owned Charolais Champion.
Kash Hembree of Cullman County exhibited the Hereford Champion at the Alabama National Fair Youth Beef Cattle Heifer Show.
