CULLMAN – An early-morning robbery occurred Wednesday at Kensington Station Apartment Homes in Cullman.

According to Cullman Police Lt. Jody Martin, at approximately 3 a.m. this morning, Brooke McMoy, 19, returned home from work to her apartment at 143 Birmingham Street SW to find two African-American males inside.

Martin said, “They (the suspects) held a gun to McMoy’s head and demanded cash. Afterward, the suspects fled out the back door.”

The suspects are described as being African-American and in their early 20s. One is described as having dreadlocks, the other with a close-cut haircut.

Martin said there was no forced entry into the apartment. It appears that the back door may have been unlocked.

McMoy has a roommate, but the roommate was not home at the time.

The suspects got away with cash and other undisclosed items. Martin stated the apartment had been ransacked.

The same apartment was reportedly burglarized sometime between May 14-15, according to Martin.
