HANCEVILLE, Ala. – A Hanceville man was arrested on Friday, October 1, after Cullman County deputies attempted to locate him for a reported incident.

CCSO deputies were attempting to locate Brian Michael Kuykendall, 33, of Hanceville as a potential suspect for an incident.

While arriving at his residence, but not being able to locate him, deputies saw Kuykendall arriving to the residence and then quickly leaving.

Kuykendall was then stopped for a traffic violation in the Hanceville area. Probable cause was established, and Kuykendall was arrested for driving under the influence. He was also arrested and charged with possession of child pornography.

Cullman County Sheriff Matt Gentry said he’s proud of the consistent work of law enforcement to bring criminals to justice.

“Being proactive is such a vital part of law enforcement. The deputies and investigators here at the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office continue to do a great job day after day,” Gentry said. “When we work together, we are able to put more criminals in jail and make Cullman County that much safer.”

Kuykendall is currently being held at the Cullman County Detention Center.
