HARTSELLE, Ala. – Hartselle-based publishing company Kerysso Press recently announced the release of its latest title,“Coffee and Cookies with God, Volume II,” featuring 31 devotions to focus your heart and refresh your soul during the month of December. This collection was written by six members of group Word Weavers North Alabama, who penned the devotions and shared beloved recipes just in time for the holiday season.

The authors have earned at least a dozen awards between them, including two Selah Award finalists from devotions included in “Coffee and Cookies with God Volume I” [Kerysso Press, 2020]. Their writing can be found in publications such as “Chicken Soup for the Soul,” “Guideposts” and several Grace Publication books.
“Coffee and Cookies with God, Volume II” has become an Amazon Best Seller, reaching many, many homes across the nation. The devotions inside are short enough to read during a morning cup of coffee, but powerful enough to provide the push needed throughout the day.
The paperback copy of “Coffee and Cookies with God, Volume II” retails at $8.95, with the eBook retailing at $2.99. This collection can be found and purchased on Amazon or any local retailer.
Kerysso Press is a print-on-demand publishing house, whose goal is to “encourage, edify and educate.” With their namesake coming from the Greek word “κηρύσσω”, which means “to herald, especially a divine truth.”
Author Lisa Worthey Smith shared on the meaning, “This word [kerysso, κηρύσσω] was used of the public proclamation of the gospel and matters pertaining to it; made by John the Baptist, by Jesus, by the apostles, and by other Christian teachers.”
