Funeral service for Manuel L. “Shorty” Brown, 81, of Cullman will be at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Baldwin Heights Baptist Cemetery, with Reverends Steve Rodgers and John Garrison officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Mr. Brown passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at his residence. He was born December 22, 1939 to Trell and Evlin Elizabeth Fortenberry Brown. He was an active member and a deacon for many years. Shorty worked at Cullman Products for 40 years. He loved Alabama football and he loved his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 56 years: Sarah Brown sister: Irma Moon.
Survivors include his son: Terry (Sandy) Brown; daughters: Deborah (Harold) Townsend and Donna (Cory) Freeman; brothers: Paul (Joann) Brown, Leon (Pam) Brown and Ricky (Brenda) Brown; sister: Mamie (L.J.) Smith; cousin: Mitchell Fortenberry; grandchildren: Brittney (Kevin) Bowers, Kendall (Jonlee) Sasser, Devon (Jordan) Taylor, Chandler (Jordan) Brown, Ashley (Lane) Jones and Jordan Freeman; great-grandchildren: Crimson Daniel Bowers, Sawyer Daniel Bowers, Mason Moses Brown, Ren River Brown and Brier McKinley Jones, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
