PREP SWIMMING: CHS Swim Team competes at Alabama Sprint Championship

MADISON, Ala. – Cullman High School’s Swim Team traveled Dublin Park in Madison this weekend to compete in the Alabama Sprint Championship meet against some of the top swimmers across the state. The CHS girls finished third overall in the 6A/7A division behind Bob Jones and James Clemens. The CHS guys team finished fourth. This meet produced 12 new personal best times, including a new school record for Madison Clements in the 100-yard individual medley. Top finishers in their events included the following:

  • Noah Warren, first place in the men’s 1-meter dive
  • Madison Clements, first place in the women’s 100IM and 3rd in the women’s 50 backstroke
  • Ruby Hudson, first place in the women’s 50 breaststroke and 2nd in the women’s 100IM

Cullman High School’s Swim Team will compete again Tuesday, Sept. 21 at the Cullman Wellness and Aquatics Center to take on Athens and Florence in the final sprint format meet of the season.
