Cullman seniors have a new place to call home

Community Action Partnership of North Alabama to host ribbon cutting for the Village at Bridge Creek

DECATUR, Ala. – Community Action Partnership of North Alabama hosted the official grand opening and ribbon cutting of Village at Bridge Creek Thursday, Aug. 19 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at 861 County Road 1402, located off Eva Road.  

Village at Bridge Creek is a 56-unit affordable housing development for income-eligible seniors ages 55 and over.  In association with the Alabama Housing Finance Authority  and consultant DSI Real Estate Partners LLC, the total development cost of the building project was more than $10.5M.  

Rent for the two-bedroom, two-bathroom units are based on the Area Median Income and range from $431 (30% AMI) to $543 (60% AMI) per month.

Community Action Partnership of North Alabama Inc., along with our housing partners, are thrilled to add 56 more homes for the families of Cullman County.”  

Village at Bridge Creek is the second Senior development CAPNA has built in Cullman.  Sara’s Ridge is a 56-unit development built in 2009 on Lee Avenue SW near Heritage Park.  As a member of the NeighborWorks America network, with more than 240 agencies nationwide, CAPNA has nearly 2,000 affordable housing units across Alabama, North Carolina and South Carolina.
