Margrett Helen Thompson, 83, of Double Springs, entered into rest on Monday, August 9, 2021 at Hendrix Health and Rehab.
Helen was born on May 22, 1938 in Double Springs. She had many hobbies, including sewing, reading, cooking, collecting rocks and seek-and-find puzzles.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2021 from 12 p.m. – 2 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Double Springs, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Vance Hutton will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Double Springs.
Margrett is survived by her son: Charlie Thompson and his wife Angie; daughters: Margarett Channell, Lisa Rice and Carol Thompson; grandchildren: Tuesday Reed, Chris Thompson (Marcie), Staci Thompson (Kendall), Veronica Bilger, Katie Rice, Gary Thompson, Nathaniel Thompson, Melanie Thompson and Valerie Woodruff (Jeremy); great-grandchildren: Tyler Hood, Presley Billups, Marnae South (Justin), Jacob Thompson, Zack Thompson, Rhett Bilger, Sophia Bilger, Declan Bilger, Corri Woodruff and MaKayla Kell; great-great-grandchildren: Brycen and Graham South; sister: Marie Wilson (Jerry) and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by husband: L.B. Thompson; parents: Hughes and Ora Lee Dyer; great-grandson: Leo Bilger; sister: Earnesteen Jones and brothers: Herschel Dyer and Cleon Dyer.
The family would like to thank the Hendrix Health and Rehab family and New Beacon Hospice for taking such good care of Helen.
