Funeral Service for Michael Joe Ray, 52, of Cullman will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at Northbrook Baptist Church. He will lie in state from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. prior to the service. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 8, 2021 from 5:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Northbrook Baptist Church. Rev. Keith Warden and Rev. Bill Ellis will officiate the service. The Interment will be in the Cullman City Cemetery.

Mr. Ray met his Lord and Savior on June 6, 2021 at his residence. He was born June 4, 1969 to Billy Joe and Martha Sue Ray. He was an active member of Northbrook Baptist Church and loved his family. He was a graduate of Vinemont High School and Auburn University. He was a software engineer for Rehau Inc. for many years. He enjoyed playing basketball and his time on the lake waterskiing.
Mr. Ray was preceded in death by his son: Matthew Ryan Ray and grandparents: Randolph and Ruby Ryan and Monroe and Thelma Ray.
He is survived by his parents: Billy Joe and Martha Sue Ray; his wife of 26 years: Julie Ellis Ray; son: Jordan Wesley Ray; daughter: Emma Marie Ray; brothers: Larry (Kelly) Ray and Jeffrey (Angela) Ray; sister: Janice Ray; brother-in-law: Bill (Angela) Ellis; six nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.
