GATCo’s Dalton Woodard told The Tribune, “We got involved with this charity through a loyal customerDustin Burney with Midgard Vikings Brotherhood. He hit us up to partner with him for this charity event. We agreed that Children’s Hospital is a wonderful recipient, and what a fun way to raise moneyan axe tournament. Even if you do not wish to enter the tournament, you can still come out and support this great cause. We will have Mom & Ms food truck, Raffles and door prizes. We hope to make this an annual event.”

Registration for the tournament is $100, due by Friday, May 28.

Prizes include $400 for first place, $200 for second and $100 for third.

How is the axe-throwing business doing?

“We are doing great!” said Woodard. “They are currently refacing the front of our building. It’s been a long process but we look forward to the end result. We also now have a mobile axe throwing trailer available to book for parties and events. We have several festivals lined up; we will be at the Memorial Day Weekend Festival at Smith Lake Park this weekend and 2nd Fridays starting in June. Good things are coming for GATCo and we are excited to be along for the ride.”
