Olive Wood Carvings from the Holy Land to be Offered at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Cullman

For the second time, Saida and George Rashmawi, volunteer members from the Roman Catholic Church in Bethlehem, will visit Sacred Heart of Jesus on April 16 and 17. The Rashmawis will bring some beautiful Olive Wood carvings which are all handmade by the Christian people in Bethlehem.  The proceeds from the sale of these items will help the Catholic Church to maintain a presence in the land where Jesus was born, lived, preached the Good News and first established His Kingdom. These beautiful carvings make great sacramental gifts that have an added special significance given where and why they were made by hand with innate skill and love.  The carvings will be available following all Masses both on Saturday, April 16 and Sunday, April 17.  All are welcome to come to the Church to see these beautiful wood carvings which depict Crosses, the Last Supper tableau and various other themes of religious significance.  Mass on Saturday usually ends about 6:30 p.m., with Sunday Masses ending around 10:00 a.m. and 12:15 p.m.  The presentation tables will be set up in the entrance of the Church.
