Park Director Mike Graves reported to the council that the new sun shades have been installed at the Vinemont Sports Complex. The town’s disc course at the Vinemont walking trails is also up and ready for play. A new foot bridge has been added over the ditch creating a safer walk for players.

Mayor Radginal Dodson and his wife Judy are enjoying the new disc golf course. He said, “Me and Judy keep holes 6, 7 and 8 hot, pretty well. They are the ones closer to me. We’ll go down there, and we may have 6 or 8 frisbees and we are down there just trying our best to put those things in there. Judy is getting where she is better than I am.”

Councilmember Chris Thompson has also been busy helping beautify places around the town by adding colorful flowers and plants at town hall and other focal points.

The Town of South Vinemont council meets the second Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m.
