Funeral services for Della Geneva Bates, 90, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, 2021 at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home with Bobby Hill officiating; interment in Enmondfield Church Cemetery in Addison. Visitation will be from noon-2 p.m. prior to the service.
Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Bates passed away Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2021 at Cullman Regional. She was born April 26, 1930 in Etheridge, Tennessee to Dennis Gerald and Della Ruth Thompson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Floyd Bates; sons Loyd D. Bates and John Dennis “JD” Bates; three brothers; and one sister.
Survivors include her daughters Sharon Bates and Lanette (Quincy) Tubbs; sons Otis Bates and Martin (Liz) Bates; grandchildren Floyd Bates, II, Angela Skelton, Shannon Dailey, Heather Bates, Deidre Bates, Lisa Pearson, Johnathan Bates, Quincy Lee Tubbs, II, Cheryl Davis, Jeannie Nichole Bates, and Merleena Bates; and a host of great-grandchildren.
