Farmers, pesticide applicators, pesticide dealers, pest control operators and nurserymen (no homeowner/gardeners):

A Clean Day Pesticide Disposal Day has been planned for our area to dispose of unwanted agricultural chemicals.  This program will allow you, at no cost to you, to bring unwanted pesticides for safe and environmentally sound disposal.  Products that will be disposed of include pesticides, insecticides, fungicides, herbicides and rodenticides.  If you have products that have lost registration, have illegible labels, are out of date or are any of the mentioned products that you cannot use, you are encouraged to take advantage of this program. This will allow you to protect your health and the health of your employees as well as protect your property and the environment.

Remember, you will not be charged for disposal, and there will be no questions asked as to why you have any product.

This program is conducted as a service to Alabama farmers, pesticide dealers, pest control operators and nurserymen and is a joint effort between the Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industries and the Alabama Cooperative Extension System.

You must complete a Pesticide Registration Form and return the form to your local County Extension Office or fax it to Daniel Sheffield 334-240-7168 on or before Jan. 18, 2020.  The form is available at the Cullman County Extension office by calling 256-737-9386 or emailing Cullmancounty@auburn.edu.

You will be contacted and provided the collection location and date/time once your registration/inventory form is received, so it is very important that the form is completely filled out and that adequate and accurate information is provided.

Again, should you have any questions please email or call the Cullman County Extension office or Daniel Sheffield with the Alabama Department of Ag and Industries at 334-240-7236.
