Wendell Wilbur Guthrie, 78, of Baileyton passed away peacefully at his residence Friday, Dec. 18, 2020 with his family at his side.
He was preceded in death by his parents Sanford and Madge Waldrop Guthrie and his grandparents Sanford and Ella Guthrie and William and Neelie Waldrop.
Wendell is survived by his wife of 60 years, Martha Stapler Guthrie; his sons Randy Guthrie (Margaret) and Benny Guthrie (Becky); sister Iris Phillips (Wayne); six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces and many friends.
A graveside celebration of life will be Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2020 at 1:30 p.m. at Baileyton Cemetery. Due to the risk of COVID, the service may be viewed on Moss Service Funeral Home’s Facebook Live.
