CULLMAN, Ala. – The American Red Cross on Friday, Dec. 11 will hold a blood drive at Goat Island Brewing, 1646 John H. Cooper Dr. in Cullman from 2-7 p.m., to help restore blood supplies that are down due to a lack of blood donations during the pandemic. In addition to the satisfaction of helping others, donors will receive COVID-19 antibody testing and will be entered for a chance to win a pizza oven, fire pit and outdoor heater.

The Red Cross’s Stephanie Holcomb told The Tribune, “It’s always tough to collect blood around the holidays, and this year has been especially difficult.”

Holcomb also said that the Red Cross is partnering with The Link of Cullman County now and for future events, to help people know that the organization is still active in the Cullman area.

Said Holcomb, “We’ve continued to do disaster services and stuff there (in Cullman County), but we closed our office, so most people just thought we left.”
