Whereas, the City of Good Hope is requesting to amend the scope of the project to only include improvements to the north side of the highway; to eliminate the need for the proposed new traffic signal, and to add a modification to the existing traffic signal at Cupp Road;

Therefore, the Good Hope City Council is submitting a Formal Amendment request to the Alabama Department of Economic & Community Affairs (ADECA) requesting approval to change the scope of the project; and

That, Jerry Bartlett, Mayor, is hereby authorized to sign and submit all required documents to ADECA requesting approval of the formal amendment.

The resolution changes the scope of the CDBG grant project pertaining to AL Highway 69 and Cupp Road. Improvements will only be done on the north side of the highway; instead of a new traffic signal, the existing traffic signal at Cupp Road will be modified.
