CULLMAN, Ala. – Cullman’s Historic District got a little more historic Saturday night as a home at the intersection of Fourth Avenue Southeast and Eighth Street Southeast was transformed into Jurassic Park for the neighborhood Halloween celebration. Tiffany and Adam Trowbridge and their family, along with Tiffany’s best friend Lisa Summerford and others, installed a volcano in their front yard, then filled the yard with T-Rexes, paleontologists and even a few park staffers riding velociraptors!

Summerford told The Tribune, “Last year, our daughters wanted to be a herd of dinosaurs for the following year, and we said, ‘Okay, we’re dressing everybody up as dinosaurs. We should do Jurassic Park because it’s scary. And we did it; we created it!”

Tiffany Trowbridge pointed out, “It took an army to do this. We all have dinosaur costumes, and we said, ‘There’s a guy who drives around in the Jurassic Park Jeep that we need to know.”

As it turns out, there was someone in the family circle who knew Cameron Dingler, owner of the vehicle painted and marked in the pattern of the original “Jurassic Park” movie that is occasionally seen running around town, and he was perfectly willing to bring the Jeep over and park it right in the front yard.

Summerford said, “We decided we had to do it big this year,” but hinted, “Next year, it’s going to be bigger! We have an idea already.”

So what’s it going to be? Only they know, and they’re not saying. The rest of us will have to find out later. But, based on evidence uncovered at this season’s dig, it should be worth the wait.
