Barbara Ann Thomas Burmester of Cullman passed away on March 10, 2016 at her residence at the age of 81. She was born in Cullman on April 26, 1934 to Edward Curtis Sr. and Ruth Hartman Thomas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Sister: Joanne Thomas, Brother: Charles Thomas.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March14, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 10 a.m. with Father Patrick Egan OSB officiating. Interment will be in Hopewell Cemetery.
Survivors are: Daughters: Carol (Robert) Sandlin, Martha (Rodney) Jenkins, Sons: Edward (Jane) Burmester, George Burmester and Fiance' Rhonda Story, Sisters: Rita Thomas, Sister Mary Ruth Thomas Order of St. Francis, Brothers: John Bernard (Dorothy) Thomas, Curt Jr. (Martha) Thomas. Grandchildren: Daniel (Ashley) Sandlin, Megan Sandlin, Jennifer Jenkins and Claire Jenkins.
Visitation will be on Sunday, March 13, 2016 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 7:30 p.m. at Moss-Service Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers: the family request donations be made to Comfort Care Hospice, Sacred Heart School or charity of choice.
