Marjorie Stroud, 94, of Double Springs passed away Sunday, Oct. 25, 2020 at Hendrix Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born April 13, 1926 to Roy Lee and Irna-Adams Herring.
Visitation will be Saturday, Oct. 31, 2020 from noon-1 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Double Springs, where the service will be held at 1 p.m. Burial will be at Winston Memorial Cemetery in Haleyville. Brother Steve Wakefield will officiate the service.
Marjorie is survived by her daughter Linda (Richard) Howell; sisters Nell Desmond and Faye Trussell; six grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bill Stroud; parents Roy and Irna Herring; son Donnie Blanchard; daughter Brenda Horton; brothers Clarence Edward Herring and Robert Stanley Herring; sisters Nina Watts, Mary Helen Laney, and Dot Snyder; and grandsons Phillip Kiser and Keith Blanchard.
