GUIN, Ala. – After using last week’s bye week to rest up and refocus for the latter half of the season, the Meek Tigers hit the road Friday night to face the Marion County Red Raiders in a big regional matchup. The Red Raiders got off to a fast start and the Tigers were never able to recover, falling on the road 43-16.

Marion County led the way 8-0 at the end of the first quarter but began creating more separation on the scoreboard in the second. The Red Raiders tacked on three more touchdowns in the second quarter to make it a 28-0 game, but Meek was able to find the endzone and cut the deficit to 28-8 going into halftime.

Marion County added another touchdown in the third quarter to make it a 36-8 game going into the fourth and even though the Tigers were able to find the end zone again in the fourth, the Red Raiders did as well, and they pulled away to win it 43-16 at home. Meek falls to 0-6 on the season with the loss and the Tigers will return home next week to host Lynn.
